Hi Tech Nails (St. Albert, Alberta) Updated December 6, 2011
In a few short days, my husband, daughters and I get on a plane to a much-needed vacation in Jamaica. I had my nails done last week with this in mind, and I suppose I should have waited a bit longer because my lovely girls gave me a work out and put my nails through the ringer (as they always do). Now, it really wouldn't have mattered to any of us what my nails look like, but as a vacation is a special occasion, taking care of yourself just makes it that much better. Today,I went back to the nail place and asked them to simply touch up my worn nails, thinking they would do a quick fix like I do at home, when time permits. Not only did they re-do my nails, they didn't charge me a penny. It was a simple gel polish, but it took them at least 20 minutes and all the tech said was "don't worry about it. Have fun on your vacation."
So, with my new shiny nails in mind, I highly reccomend the newly opened "Hi Tech" nails on St. Albert trail. (Near Crystal Glass). (Suprisingly nice inside too!)
Is there a Samaritan business in your community? Tell us about it!

It seems wrong to think kindness is exclusively the business of religion; something to be neglected if one isn't interested in spirituality.

Noble Nancy (Updated January 10, 2012)
How many of us would take a complete stranger into our homes? Sadly, I would say most of us would never consider taking a homeless person in, and I'd say the chances are even worse for a person living under a bridge. Not for Nancy Ager of Calgary. Not only did she recently take a homeless - and blind - man into her home, but the first thing she did was cook him a steak dinner. Now, a few months later, Rick still resides with Nancy and has started a job in the construction industry.
Nothing I could say would adequately describe the enormity of generosity and selflessness such as this, so I'll say nothing. The action speaks for itself.
What do our actions say about us?
